Ayah/Verse to Remember

In the name of God, most compassionate, most merciful. Invite to the Way of your Lord with wisdom and fair preaching, and argue with them in the best manners. Truly, your Lord knows best who has gone astray from His Path, and He is the Best Aware of those who are guided." (Al-Quran 16:125)

The Eating of Pork is prohibited in the Quran and the Bible

Pork prohibited in Qur’an

He has only forbidden you dead meat, and blood, and the flesh of swine, and any (food) over which the name of other than Allah has been invoked. But if one is forced by necessity, without wilful disobedience, nor transgressing due limits,- then Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. 16:115

He hath only forbidden you dead meat, and blood, and the flesh of swine, and that on which any other name hath been invoked besides that of Allah. But if one is forced by necessity, without wilful disobedience, nor transgressing due limits,- then is he guiltless. For Allah is Oft-forgiving Most Merciful. 2:173

“Forbidden to you (for food) are: dead meat, blood, the flesh of swine, and that on which hath been invoked the name of other than Allah.” 5:3

Say: "I find not in the message received by me by inspiration any (meat) forbidden to be eaten by one who wishes to eat it, unless it be dead meat, or blood poured forth, or the flesh of swine,- for it is an abomination - or, what is impious, (meat) on which a name has been invoked, other than Allah.s". But (even so), if a person is forced by necessity, without wilful disobedience, nor transgressing due limits,- thy Lord is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful. 6:145

The above verses of the Holy Qur’an are sufficient to satisfy a Muslim as to why pork is forbidden.

2. Pork prohibited in the Bible

The Christian is likely to be convinced by his religious scriptures. The Bible prohibits the consumption of pork, in the book of Leviticus

“And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be cloven footed, yet he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean to you”.

“Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcass shall ye not touch, they are unclean to you.”

[Leviticus 11:7-8]

Pork is also prohibited in the Bible in the book of Deuteronomy

“And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud, it is unclean unto you. Ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcass.”

[Deuteronomy 14:8]

The Scriptures Clearly Speaks against this act and I really wonder how come the Christians across the world cannot agree on the ban of pork when it's against their scriptures and well in today's scientific discoveries which reveal the many down sides of eating pork meat.

Lies spread about Mohammad peace be with him

We have to agree with the Orientalist W Montgomery Watt when he says:

Of all the world's greatest men none has been so much maligned as Muhammad. It is easy to see how this has come about. For centuries Islam was the great enemy of Christendom, for Christendom was in direct contact with no other organized states comparable in power to the Muslims. The Byzantine empire, after losing its provinces in Syria and Egypt, was being attacked in Asia Minor, while Western Europe was threatened through Spain and Sicily. Even before the Crusades focused attention on the expulsion of the Sarcens from the Holy Land, medieval war-propaganda, free from the restraints of factuality was building up a conception of 'the great enemy'. At one point Muhammad was transformed into Mahound, the prince of darkness. By the eleventh century the idea about Islam and Muslims current in the crusading armies were such travesties that they had a bad effect on morale. The crusaders had been led to expect the worst of their enemies, and, when they found many chivalrous knights among them, they were filled with distrust for the authorities of their own religion.[2]

A few centuries ago the Prophet(P) was called the pagan God, the number of the beast i.e., the devil. This was the work of those Holy Ghost inspired Christians. These Christians also said that the Prophet(P) was a Child Molester, a Keeper of Harem and an anti-Christ. The great lies of the Crusades against the Prophet(P) and Muslims can even be seen in the so-called classics The Adventures Of Don Quixote.

Coming back to the modern age, we will still find Christians like Jochen calling the Prophet(P) Child Molester although in a politically correct language. Go to Hyde Park Speakers' Corner (London, UK) on Sunday and you will find Christian fundamentalists calling Allah, the Moon god and repeating the same age old polemics like the Prophet(P) was a Child Molester, a Keeper of Harem and an anti-Christ. Basically, nothing has changed from then till today. The "Crusades" are still there although wrapped up in a deceptive way. So do not get fooled by Jochen's "Inter-Faith Dialogue" or "Christian-Muslim Understanding". All these are lies and damn lies. Being on the soc.religion.islam for more than two and half years, I can testify that.

And regarding, the "Crusades" they are still here but people like Jochen shed crocodile tears. Now one can say that Katz is falsely being accused of what he has not done! A book is recommended by Katz called The Original Sources Of The Qur'an.

Apart from talking about the highly speculative sources of Islam, this book concludes in a fashion which is not too unexpected from a missionary:

But it (i.e., Islam) certainly does not contain a single new or lofty religious conception, and its general tone is all too faithful a reflexion of a carnal and sensual nature of its founder. To use an Oriental simile is not perhaps inappropriate in speaking of such a thoroughly local and Oriental religion as Muhammadanism. Islam therefore may aptly be compared with:

How to Get Your Child to Graduate By Age 14

My kids are on track to graduate from high school at age 14, inshaAllah. And at ages eight and six, my kids have collectively authored and published five books of their own, and are asked to speak at schools around the country – TabarakAllah.

I travel around the country giving seminars and talks to college students, parents, youth, Muslim and non-Muslim. One question I get all the time is, “How are you doing it Zohra?” How are your children so advanced for their ages?”

Alhamdulillah, first and foremost it’s with the tawfiq of Allah. However, it’s not as impossible as you may think:

You’re probably wondering, “What? How?” I will tell you a few strategies that can help you do the same. I will start off with, how they can graduate high school early.

Plan 1: Skipping Grades.

Students taking placement tests and passing to the next class is not as hard as many parents think. The problem is that we don’t give our kids the benefit of doubt. All of our kids are geniuses; all we need to do is help them see it.

Kids are naturally motivated to excel on their own without mommy and daddy always looking behind their shoulders. This can work great when it comes to excelling in school.

For all the busy people who have to work, for the first two-to-three years of their child’s education, sit with them every evening and go over homework and also have the child explain it to the parents.

I know you’re probably thinking I don’t have any time for that – with dinner to serve, baths and so on. I am telling you that if you want your child to excel and not worry about nagging them later, then you need to sacrifice some time and be there for them when it counts. What I would do to take care of this problem is:

a.) Cook the whole week’s meals on Sunday’s and just heat and serve during the week.

b.) Take the phone off of the hook and just focus on your child for 1-2 hours. If you have more than one child, have all of them studying at the same time and spend a few minutes with each one. Basically make rounds during that time, so they each get your full attention.

Again, this will take some training and some pushing on your part, but remember the benefits are for you. If you can get all of your children to get scholarships to college would that alone not be worth it? If you have two or three children, that is the equivalent of saving anywhere between $30,000- $50,000. What’s sad is that most parents don’t even have that money to help their kids out with college, so everyone gets into debt for school.

Let’s just say that you really can’t do it because of how your life is scheduled right now, what about hiring a tutor for just a few dollars an hour; a young teenager to help your child with what you want. Believe me it will give your child confidence and skills that they didn’t know they had.

Plan 2: Home-schooling your children.

Did you know that homeschooled children are the first to be recruited by universities such as Yale, Stanford and Harvard? They believe (and rightfully so) that homeschooled children are disciplined to learn and teach themselves. You’re probably thinking, “I am too busy, I can’t home school.” That’s what I was saying; I used to be a corporate mom and enjoyed it too.

After I realized that no one cared as much about my kid’s education as me, I changed my lifestyle to make it happen. However, I can hear some of you saying right now, “But I can’t do it, because of my responsibilities.” I understand, and will not push you do it my way, but for all of those moms who are at home, they can home school.

Imagine spending about three hours a day with your child to learn and the rest of the time, they teach themselves. They have to read books, do projects, explore. Imagine if you had a curriculum that helped them graduate high school by the age of 14. Which college would not want them? If they are that smart, you will have schools fighting for them. At that age, I personally recommend a university close to home, so parents can drop in and pick them up.

Imagine raising two, three or even four great kids who are smart, talented, well-educated and loved. What can those kids do for us? Anything. The problem with society today is we want to do everything and be great at it. However, the tragedy is usually the first thing to suffer is our families — be it our marriage or our kids.

We need to refocus and think about our lives, if we were to be alive 15 years from now, what is most important to us? Is it our careers, being a CEO of a company? Is it being the best lawyer? Or is it raising super stars and working part time with it? I am not saying ladies don’t have careers, all I am saying is that we need to focus on our families, too.

Maybe the first 15 years should be focused on teaching our kids manners, love, respect, hadith of the Prophet (PBUH) but most importantly, the Quran. Every morning wake them up to pray and read Quran before they leave the house.

We need to build families and not just careers. Allah (SWT) has put us on earth to test us. One of the tests is motherhood. Are we really doing what we should be doing, or are we just trying to keep up with the Joneses? If we don’t take care of our kids, with love, knowledge and patience, why will they want to take care of us as we age? Think about it. Think deeply. I will let you read this story to help better understand my point:

“A frail old man went to live with his son, daughter-in-law and four-year old grandson. The old man’s hands trembled, his eyesight was blurred and his step faltered. The family ate together at the table.

But the elderly grandfather’s shaky hands and failing sight made eating difficult. Peas rolled off his spoon onto the floor. When he grasped the glass, milk spilled on the tablecloth. The son and daughter-in-law became irritated with the mess. “We must do something about father,” said the son. “I’ve had enough of his spilled milk, noisy eating, and food on the floor.”

So the husband and wife set a small table in the corner. There, grandfather ate alone while the rest of the family enjoyed dinner. Since grandfather had broken a dish or two, his food was served in a wooden bowl.

When the family glanced in grandfather’s direction, sometime he had a tear in his eye as he sat alone. Still, the only words the couple had for him were sharp admonitions when he dropped a fork or spilled food.

The four-year-old watched it all in silence. One evening before supper, the father noticed his son playing with wood scraps on the floor. He asked the child sweetly, “What are you making?” Just as sweetly, the boy responded, “Oh, I am making a little bowl for you and mama to eat your food in when I grow up.” The four-year-old smiled and went back to work.

The words so struck the parents that they were speechless. Then tears started to stream down their cheeks. Though no word was spoken, both knew what had to be done.

That evening the husband took grandfather’s hand and gently led him back to the family table. For the remainder of his days he ate every meal with the family. And for some reason, neither husband nor wife seemed to care any longer when a fork was dropped, milk spilled, or the tablecloth soiled.” – Unknown Author

I am a woman who likes to lead by my actions and not just my words, as for my children, all 3 of them want to be authors in areas that they can help society inshAllah. All 3 of them have goals to memorize the Quran and be scholars of Islam, and pursue other careers as well. My daughter wants to be a zoologist and get a Ph.D in Islam. My son wants to be a haffith, scholar, and an inventor. Remember that we must all answer to Allah (SWT) about how we took care of what He gave us. That should be enough for all of us to want to do it, for what will our answers be to Ar-Rahman? I leave you with words of encouragement to help your kids achieve their dreams and goals within the Islamic scope of life, they don’t have to give up their deen to be successful in this life, and they can do both inshAllah. However, they need the support of mom and dad.

In conclusion, your child can become anything, but needs your support along the way. Your child needs your love, compassion and patience to teach him or her. Be the best parent you can be, so that you don’t have regrets later! I hope that you have gotten the point that your child can graduate early inshAllah, and even have the chance of going to college early, but more than anything they have the potential to being the leaders for Ummah when you and I are gone, inshAllah. You must nurture the seeds you have planted, you water it, fertilize it, and give it sunshine or else it won’t bloom like you want it to.

Islam denounces Terrorism- Terrorism is against Islam

All the terrorist activities across the world that are attempted to be equated with Islam, including the recent slaughter on a military base in America, are the products of the Darwinist, Leninist, Stalinist and Marxist mindset. Those who perpetrate such massacres have absolutely nothing to do with Islam. These people have received a Darwinist and Marxist education in Europe or America and are rooted in Leninism and Stalinism. Since conflict represents the basis of the philosophy in which someone with a Marxist, Leninist and Darwinist mindset believes, since they regard the people killed as mere animals and also believe that these need to be eliminated according to natural selection, it is perfectly normal for those with such a mindset to carry out such massacres.

Those who seek to ascribe such massacres to Islam are the heretical masonic groupings that wish to cause divisions between Muslims and Christians in particular and seek to weaken the truly devout and give rise to oppression, conflict and war across the globe. Freemasons, representatives of the systems of the antichrist (dajjal), seek to totally misrepresent Islam, a religion of peace and love, and thus ensure that people hold prejudiced views of it. The fact is, however, that unjustified killing is a sin in Islam. Our Lord makes this absolutely clear in the Qur’an:

So We decreed for the tribe of Israel that if someone kills another person – unless it is in retaliation for someone else or for causing corruption in the Earth – it is as if he had murdered all mankind. And if anyone gives life to another person, it is as if he had given life to all mankind. Our messengers came to them with clear signs but even after that many of them committed outrages in the Earth. (Surat Al-Ma’ida, 32)

Those who do not call on any other deity together with Allah and do not kill anyone Allah has made inviolate, except with the right to do so, and do not fornicate; anyone who does that will receive an evil punishment. (Surat al-Furqan, 68)

Allah reveals that it is as sinful to kill one person as to kill all mankind. There is no question of someone who maintains the bounds set by Allah of harming a single person, let alone slaughtering thousands of innocent individuals.

In addition, under Islam nobody can arbitrarily distinguish between those who do “right” or “wrong.” Because this distinction is clearly set out by way of the Qur’an. As revealed in the Qur’an, there can be no aggression in Islam, only self-defense. A Muslim can only resist aggression for purposes of defense, in the event of a threat to himself or those around him. According to Islam, only under such circumstances do people have a “right to attack” the other side, and then for purely defensive purposes. But if the other side ceases its aggression, then they must also put a stop to their defensive actions. Allah makes this a definitive pronouncement in the Qur’an:

“Fight in the Way of Allah against those who fight you, but do not go beyond the limits. Allah does not love those who go beyond the limits.

… Do not fight them in the Masjid al-Haram until they fight you there. But if they do fight you, then kill them. That is how the kuffar should be repaid. But if they cease, Allah is Ever-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” (Surat al-Baqara, 190-192)

Those who imagine they can escape punishment by fleeing from justice in this world will never be able to avoid having to account for themselves after death, in the presence of Allah, in the Hereafter. Therefore, true Muslims who know that they will have to account for their actions once they are dead are punctilious when it comes to maintaining the bounds set by Allah. It is impossible for a genuine, devout Muslim to harm people or perpetrate mass slaughter, things made sinful by Allah, or to harm them in any way by turning his back on such virtues as love, affection and forgiveness, which constitute the very essence of Islam. The mindset that seeks to ascribe terrorist attacks to Islam is the Darwinist, Marxist, materialist mindset that wishes to lead the world to irreligion. Freemasonry, the system of the antichrist, has undertaken to defend this mindset. But, by the leave of Allah, this cunning strategy of the antichrist has been exposed and defeated in recent times when the coming of the Prophet Jesus (as) and Hazrat Mahdi (as) is imminent. Freemasonry, the system of the antichrist, is no longer able to deceive people as it used to, and all this heretical mindset’s vile plots against Islam and true believer end in failure.

From Adnan Oktar’s interview dated 6 November, 2009:

ADNAN OKTAR: There is no terror in Islam, just people of Muslim origins who have been brought up as Darwinist materialists and terrorists. For example, someone may have Turkish origins and his ID card may describe him as Turkish, yet he may still be an enemy of Turkishness. Like the alleged organization Ergenekon organization. But his ID card says he is a Turk. It may say he is a Muslim, though that does not necessarily make him one. In order to be a Muslim he must be affectionate, compassionate, forgiving, tolerant and humane. Compassion does not mean ignoring the offenses committed by someone, by the way, but rather forgiving such offenses. Therefore, if you look at all the people responsible for what is known as Islamic terror, all the terrorist attacks in the world, you will see that they have all received a Darwinist education. They have all adopted a Darwinist, materialist and Marxist line. They are all great admirers of Che or of Ho Chi Minh. In other words, they are all people who have been raised hand in glove with terrorism. As a result, Palestine and Syria have only just been freed from communist thinking. Iraq has only just been freed from it. They all used to hold Stalinist, terrorist ideas. The old tools are therefore still being used today. Terrorists are people produced by those old tools.

ADNAN OKTAR: Look, the leaders of the people who perpetrate actions of this kind have all been brought up in Europe or America. They have all gone through an intensively Darwinist education. They have all adopted Marxist, Leninist and Stalinist thinking and strive to ascribe these things to Islam. They even called such people green communists at one time, Muslims with a great admiration for communism. But Islam is a pure faith. It is an unsullied faith, and nothing can subsequently be added to it. Whatever exists in Islam already does so, and nothing can be added on afterwards.

ADNAN OKTAR: The aim behind these Marxists’ terror is to create a division between Muslims and Christians and set them against one another, and to install a masonic, Marxist system to fill that gap. Because the idea of thesis, antithesis and synthesis is one espoused by both Marx and Darwin. Darwin espoused the dialectic of living things. One lot espoused the dialectic of history. And others, the dialectic of nature. Put the three together and you have Marxist dialectics. The idea of conflict is inherent in that, the idea that people can only attain perfection through conflict. Conflict is an essential attribute of Marxists. They say that even if you have Marxism, its antithesis will still arise, and a new synthesis, that it will give rise to its own antithesis. They say that conflict is a feature of the permanent world. Terror is essential for that to be made a reality. This is a most devilish plan. A Marxist, masonic plan that would be very successful were it really put into action. But I have thwarted all these plans. They are doing what Darwinist, Marxist theory requires. But by demolishing Darwinism and showing people that it is all a plot, I am thwarting the attempt to set Muslims and Christians against one another.

ADNAN OKTAR: While being injected with Marxism, nobody will ever become a Marxist if they come right out and say, “You will just go out and kill people.” Of course it will be given a humane appearance. The mask must be one that has a very positive impact on the human soul and character. In that event, people may then look favorably on it. But there is also the theory of conflict in Marxism. What does the theory of conflict mean? What does the constant operation of theses and antithesis mean? It means there will be constant bloodshed. They talk about the dictatorship of the proletariat, and that means blood, tears and suffering. But they say there will always be counter-theses to this. And the antithesis to that is fascism. They speak of fascism conflicting with communism and of there being a new synthesis emerging from this, and that a new antithesis to that will then emerge. In other words, they refer to endless disorder and anarchy. They say this a global law and base it on Darwin’s theory of evolution. The dialectic of nature, of living things, of history. Someone who believes that has no other option that to be a Marxist, and they are very insincere. Someone who is a Darwinist has no option other than to be a Marxist. If the dialectic of living things is true, then according to their belief the dialectic of nature and history is also true. And there is also dialectical philosophy. People who believe in dialectical philosophy must also sign up to conflict. In other words, they must sign up to thesis and antithesis. They must therefore also accept terror and anarchy. That is why Lenin told people to “bomb banks, kill the police, kill soldiers and rob banks.” That is why he wanted it. He was saying that people need to engage in such a struggle in order to attain the thesis, antithesis and synthesis.

Islamic history shows thousands of Muslim Women teachings hadith to the Muslim Ummah

There have been over 8,000 Muslim women who have narrated and taught the hadiths in Islamic history, an Islamic scholar said Tuesday.

"In addition to transmitting hadiths, women can give fatwa (edicts) too," said Dr Mohammad Akram Nadwi at a public lecture at the International Institute of Advanced Islamic Studies (IAIS) that shed the popular belief that such activities were strictly in the male domain.

"The Prophet Muhammad left an ummah (muslim community) where men and women were treated equally," he added, citing as examples several Muslim women who had taught and narrated the Sahih al-Bukhari in mosques and to several caliphs.

Dr Nadwi, who was speaking on the Role of Women in the Hadith Movement, is currently revising his 40-volume biographical dictionary of women narrators and scholars of the hadiths, that is, the reports of the sayings or actions of the Prophet or his companions, together with the tradition of their chain of transmission - Source

Muslim woman told to remove face veil during job interview

An Australian Muslim woman has complained that she was told to remove her face veil during a job interview at a Northern Territory hospital in Darwin.

According to reports, a doctor at Royal Darwin Hospital asked the young woman to remove her veil during an administration job interview.

The woman, however, refused to do so, and filed an official complaint.

The Northern Territory Anti-Discrimination Commission officers have launched an investigation into the matter.

Meanwhile, Northern Territory Islamic Society President, Adil Jamil, said that it was considered “offensive” to ask a woman to take off her hijab.

“It's against their religious beliefs. It can seriously hurt their inner self,” The Herald Sun quoted Jamil, as saying.

“Under traditional Islamic view, a woman cannot show her face to any man except her husband and male relatives,” he added.

He further said that there were about 2000 Muslims in the territory, but less than two percent wore a veil.

“They see it as reinforcing their religious beliefs and inner satisfaction,” Jamil said.

The case comes at a time when several western countries are following France’s lead in banning the wearing of the hijab in public. Source

The Importance of Prayer according to the prophet Mohammad pbuh

[Sahih Muslim : Book 1 Kitab Al-Iman, Number 144]
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira (RA) that: "When, the son of Adam recites the Ayat of Sajdah (prostration) and then falls down in prostration, the Satan goes into seclusion and weeps and says: Alas, and in the narration of Abu Kuraib the words are: Woe unto me, the son of Adam was commanded to prostrate, and he prostrated and Paradise was entitled to him and I was commanded to prostrate, but I refused and am doomed to Hell."

[Sahih Muslim : Book 1 Kitab Al-Iman, Number 146]
It is narrated on the authority of Jabir (RA) that he heard the Apostle (may peace and blessings be upon him) saying
"Verily between man and between polytheism and unbelief is the negligence of prayer."

[Sahih Muslim : Book 1 Kitab Al-Iman, Number 147]
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Zubair (RA) that he heard Jabir b. 'Abdullah (RA) saying. I heard the Messenger of ALLAH (SAW ) observing this:
"Between man and polytheism and unbelief is the abandonment of salah."

[Sahih Muslim : Book 1 Kitab Al-Iman, Number 151]
It is narrated on the authority of 'Abdullah b. Mas'ud (RA) that he observed. I asked the Messenger of ALLAH (SAW ) which deed was the best. He (the Holy Prophet) replied: Prayer at its appointed hour. I (again) said: Then what? He (the Holy Prophet) replied: Kindness to the parents. I (again) said: Then what? He replied: Earnest endeavor (Jihad) in the cause of Allah. And I would have not ceased asking more questions but out of regard (for his feelings).

It's clear that Salah must be done under no circumstances it should be neglected.

Quranic Lessons for you: Tolerance in the Qur’an

Forgive and show indulgence to them!
(Qur’an, 2:109)
Among various prolific misconceptions concerning the religion of Islam, one cannot miss the oft-quoted “Kill them wherever you find them,” characterization of religious intolerance in the Qur’an. This bloodthirsty depiction of Islam is far, far from the truth. Yet, with so much media attention shone on “Muslim terrorists”, contradictory Islamic ideals of religious tolerance might be difficult for Western audiences to believe.
The best solution is to read the Qur’an. Verses granting permission to fight in war, when attacked, can then be read in context. Ideological mud slinging on the internet is rife with quotes like, “Kill them wherever you find them.” If that is the first phrase you read from the Qur’an, of course it sounds like a horrible, unholy book. Yet its beginning is this:“In the name of God, The Beneficent, The Merciful” (1:1).
In the following sections, I will attempt to express the Qur’anic attitude toward religious tolerance. To dispel myths surrounding “kill them wherever you find them”, I first address religious tolerance under conditions of war. Then, what is hopefully the usual state of affairs, part 2 presents a few points from the Qur’an promoting religious tolerance during periods of peace.
Part 1: Conditions of War
“Fight in the way of God against those who fight against you, but begin not hostilities. Lo! God loveth not aggressors.”
(Qur’an, 2:190)
Contrary to popular misconception, the Qur’anic verse stating, “Kill them wherever you encounter them” (2:191) does not categorically permit (let alone promote!) killing of Non-Muslims. Rather, this verse was revealed in relation to a specific stage of persecutory war against Muslims in the history of Islam; and its ordinance is obviously confined to warfare. The fourteen-hundred-year heritage of Islamic rule in Arabia and beyond testifies to religious tolerance exhorted by the Qur’an.
And why—if there is any explanation other than deliberate mischaracterization and slander—why can’t critics who use this verse read other general decrees that place strict limits on warfare? For instance, the verse just before it, which says, “But begin not hostilities. Lo! God loveth not aggressors” (2:190). Or the verses just after it, stating, “But if they desist, then lo! God is Forgiving, Merciful” (2:192).
Scenarios under which taking a life is permissible according to the Qur’an are extremely limited. The Qur’an permits between-group killing, or “collateral damage”, during warfare in hand-to-hand combat with male, combatant enemy soldiers. In domestic affairs, Islamic law permits execution by judicial sentence in cases of premeditated manslaughter [1]; a tooth for a tooth whether Muslim or Non-Muslim.
In Islam, it is never permissible to attack or kill non-combatant enemy citizens, children, elderly, or women. Non-Muslims not waging war against Muslims possess Islamic state’s protection of their right to life, according to the Qur’an. In fact, the Qur’an enjoins forgiveness, indulgence, tolerance, and kindness toward Non-Muslims.

Part 2: Conditions of Peace

“Help ye one another unto righteousness and pious duty.”

(Qur’an, 5:2)

What some great intellectuals have said about Islam, the Bible, and the Holy Quran

Our civilization is standing at dangerous crossroads. The Bible cannot provide workable foundations for the survival of mankind. (Lord Snell, The New World.

What some great intellectuals have said about Islam, the Bible, and the Holy Quran

Mohammad-pbuh message is what we should be focus on.

InshaAllah the hearts of Muslims revert to the ways of the heart of the prophet of Islam. Only then will we truly achieve pure peace, pure Islam. The prophet didn't often forgive his enemies and transgressors because of his own will, but... because he understood that Allah is often forgiving. We need to get to know why this great man was able to achieve so much on not only the religious side, but also the secular side. He taught and is still teachings all of mankind, we must get to know why his way created massively successful societies. Over 23 different societies and all societies declare there is no God but Allah and Mohammad is Allah's prophet. We are getting more attached to materialistic means and forgetting that only when we purly wish the best for others as well as our selves that we will never set foot in heaven. The prophet pbuh said " If you don't wish for your brothers what you wish for yourselves, you will NEVER set foot in heaven" It cannot be more clear.

Peace be with you along with Allahs mercy and blessings <== the proper Muslim greeting to another.

Mohammad-pbuh message is what we should be focus on.

The un-Christian Christians who embrace Israeli Apartheid

Millions of Christian Zionists think that by blindly supporting Israel's apartheid policies against the tormented Palestinians, including Palestinian Christians, they are upholding the truth and doing the right thing in the sight of God. Frankly, they are wrong; supporting blatantly unjust policies, including murder, persecution and theft, is never morally correct no matter how many verses one can quote from the Old Testament or any other religious text. Moreover, these pseudo-Christians, many of whom think they are following in the footsteps of Jesus, are convinced that they are doing his will by absolutely and unconditionally embracing evil actions which are in reality the antithesis of everything that Jesus Christ preached.

I am not talking about something about which I have scanty information or rudimentary knowledge. I have written a Master's thesis on Christian Zionists' distorted theology, met and spoken with some of their leaders, watched their TV antics and read their books. I heard the late Jerry Falwell on several occasions claim that "if you criticize Israel, you criticize God", adding that the Almighty "treats nations according to how nations treat Israel". Similarly, I heard and watched another demented evangelical, Pat Robertson of the 700-Club, who would invoke Old Testament atrocities to justify Israel's modern equivalents, even those committed against Palestinians who are his fellow Christians. I also know that some evangelical preachers have called for applying the "Biblical approach" to the Palestinians and Lebanese people for resisting Israeli aggression. That "Biblical approach" is nought but a euphemism for genocidal ethnic cleansing.

Islam And The Theory Of Evolution

The article is divided in to 2 sections: Islamic perspective of Theory of Evolution and does it disprove God?
Islamic perspective of Theory of Evolution

Research Committee of IslamToday.net under the supervision of Sheikh `Abd al-Wahhâb al-Turayrî, wrote about Islamic stance on Evolution. Full article can be viewed at http://islamtoday.com/showme2.cfm?cat_id=29&sub_cat_id=792

Article states:

“We as Muslims must ask: Does the theory of evolution – and likewise the theory of natural selection as a mechanism of evolution – conform to Islamic teachings or conflict with them? Is a Muslim allowed to believe in evolution as a scientific theory as long as he or she accepts that Allah is behind it? Is a Muslim allowed to believe in human evolution? If not, how can we explain the fossils of upright, bipedal, tool-using apes with large brains that have been discovered? We wish to re-emphasize that our concern here is not with examining the scientific merits of the theory of evolution. What we want to know is what Islamic teachings have to say about the idea. Whether evolution is true or false scientifically is another matter altogether. When we look at the sources of Islam – the Qur’ân and Sunnah – we see that, with respect to human beings living on the Earth today, they are all descendants of Adam and Eve. Allah also says: “O mankind! We have created you from a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know one another. Verily, the most honorable of you with Allah is the one who is the most God-fearing.” [Sûrah al-Hujûrât:13] The Prophet (peace be upon him) identified the “male” mentioned in this verse as being Adam. He said: “Human beings are the children of Adam and Adam was created from Earth. Allah says: ‘O mankind! We have created you from a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know one another. Verily, the most honorable of you with Allah is the one who is the most God-fearing’.” [Sunan al-Tirmidhî (3270)] We also see that Allah created Adam directly without the agency of parents. Allah says: “The similitude of Jesus before Allah is as that of Adam; He created him from dust, then said to him: ‘Be’ and he was.” [Sûrah Âl `Imrân: 59] We also know that Eve was created from Adam without the agency of parents. In the Qur’ân, Allah states clearly: “O mankind! Be careful of your duty to your Lord Who created you from a single soul and from it created its mate and from them twain hath spread abroad a multitude of men and women.” [Sûrah al-Nisâ’: 1] Therefore, the Qur’ân tells us that Adam and his wife were the father and mother of all human beings living on the Earth today. We know about this by way of direct revelation from Allah. “

and

“The only thing that the Qur’ân and Sunnah require us to believe about the living things on Earth today is that Allah created them in whatever manner He decided to create them. Allah says: “Allah is the Creator of all things and over all things He has authority.” [Sûrah al-Zumar: 62] Indeed, Allah states specifically that He created all life forms: “And We made from water all living things.” [Sûrah al-Anbiyâ’: 30] We know that “Allah does what He pleases.” Allah can create His creatures in any manner that He chooses. Therefore, with respect to other living things, the Qur’ân and Sunnah neither confirm nor deny the theory of biological evolution or the process referred to as natural selection.”

Therefore muslims believe that Adam and Eve were created without parents. However, Adam and Eve did not evolve from other species. Furthermore, there is no explicit prohibition on believing in Nature Selection or Evolution of other animals. In summary, human evolution is against Quran and Sunnah, however, the evolution of other living things is not denied by Quran and Sunnah, according to the article.

If we for the sake of argument assume that Theory of Evolution is valid, does it disprove God or disprove the concept of a “supernatural being”? Examining the complexity of life might answer this question.

Cells

Cells are made up of many organelles, which are sub-units within the cells, carrying out a certain task. Cells are many times more complex than it was even imagined at Darwin’s time. They are made up of many subunits such as Ribosome, lysosome, golgi apparatus, Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum, Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum, microtubules, cell membrane, mitochondria, nucleolus and many others. Each of these are vital for an ordinary eukaryotic cells and even for many prokaryotic cells. Professor of biology Michael Denton, in his book entitled Evolution: A Theory in Crisis, explains this complexity with an example:

“To grasp the reality of life as it has been revealed by molecular biology, we must magnify a cell a thousand million times until it is twenty kilometers in diameter and resembles a giant airship large enough to cover a great city like London or New York. What we would then see would be an object of unparalelled complexity and adaptive design. On the surface of the cell we would see millions of openings, like port holes of a vast space ship, opening and closing to allow a continual stream of materials to flow in and out. If we were to enter one of these openings we would find ourselves in a world of supreme technology and bewildering complexity… (a complexity) beyond our own creative capacities, a reality which is the very antithesis of chance, which excels in every sense anything produced by the intelligence of man…”

W. R. Bird writes in “The Origin of Species Revisited”., Nashville: Thomas Nelson Co., 1991, pp. 298-99:

“The most elementary type of cell constitutes a ‘mechanism’ unimaginably more complex than any machine yet thought up, let alone constructed, by man.”

Every organelle, such as cell membrane, is extremely complex. Cell membrane, as wide as 7nm, consists of: a special type of lipid called phospholipid bilyer, protein channels for facilitated diffusion and active transport, glycoproteins, glycolipids, cholesterol and many other substances. In essence, we find perfection even in something as small as cells and cell membranes.

Proteins

Even biochemical molecules’ complexity is incredible. Let us examine the probability of a protein emerging from chance:

Proteins are made from string of amino acids joined together by peptide bond. A typical protein can contain around 550 amino acids, Haemoglobin contains around 574 amino acids. These amino acids must be in a specific order in the chain. However there are alternative amino acids, which can form a substitute and still result in the same protein, however this is very rare. As a reasonable amount, we shall assume that 500 amino acids have to be in correct and exact order to make 550 amino acids long protein:

Since there are 20 amino acids found in nature, chance of the next amino acid being correct would be 1/20. Thus the probability of making a protein of 500 amino acids being in the correct and exct order by chance:

(1/20)^500 (^ represents ‘to the power of ‘)

or:

= 500 * [log (1/20)/log(1/10)]

= approximately (1/10)^650

Furthermore the amino acids have to be left handed in the protein molecule. If even a single right-handed amino acid gets attached to the structure of a protein, the protein is rendered useless. If protein were coming by chance, theoretically speaking, the protein molecule would have equal number of left-handed amino acids as right-handed amino acids. However in living things, all of the amino acids in the protein chain are left-handed amino acids. Therefore the probability of next amino acid also being left handed is: 1/2.

The probability of all of those 500 amino acids being left-handed at the same time:

= (1/2)^500 (^ represents ‘to the power of ‘)

or:

= 500 * [log (1/2)/log(1/10)]

= approximately (1/10)^150

Furthermore, the amino acids are linked by a special kind of bond known as “peptide bond”. The chances of the next bond being peptide is 50%:

The probability of two amino acids being combined with a “peptide bond” is: 1/2

The probability of 500 amino acids all combining with peptide bonds:

= (1/2)^499 (^ represents ‘to the power of ‘)

or:

= 499* [log (1/2)/log(1/10)]

= approximately (1/10)^150

TOTAL PROBABILITY = (1/10)^650 * (1/10)^150 * (1/10)150 = 10^950

(^ represents ‘to the power of ‘ and * represents multiplication)

So the probability of 650 amino acids stringing together by chance and forming a protein is around 10^950, which is 1 chance in 10^950.

Genes and DNA

There are around 30,000 genes in the human body, incorrect sequences of nucleotides making up a gene would render that gene completely useless. Frank B. Salisbury writes in “Doubts about the Modern Synthetic Theory of Evolution”, American Biology Teacher, September 1971, p. 336:
“A medium protein might include about 300 amino acids. The DNAgene controlling this would have about 1,000 nucleotides in its chain. Since there are four kinds of nucleotides in a DNA chain, one consisting of 1,000 links could exist in 41,000 forms. Using a little algebra (logarithms) we can see that 4^1000=10^600. Ten multiplied by itself 600 times gives the figure 1 followed by 600 zeros! This number is completely beyond our comprehension.”

Robert Shapiro, a professor of chemistry at New York University and a DNA expert, calculated the probability of the coincidental formation of the 2000 types of proteins found in a single bacterium (There are 200,000 different types of proteins in a human cell). The number that was found was 1 over 10^40000. (This is an incredible number obtained by putting 40,000 zeros after the 1)
Scientists’ comments regarding “chance”

“The spontaneous formation of a polypeptide of the size of the smallest known proteins seems beyond all probability.” — Ali Demirsoy, Kalýtým ve Evrim (Inheritance and Evolution), Ankara: Meteksan Publishing Co., 1984, p. 64
“The likelihood of the spontaneous formation of life from inanimate matter is one to a number with 40,000 noughts after it… It is big enough to bury Darwin and the whole theory of evolution. There was no primeval soup, neither on this planet nor on any other, and if the beginnings of life were not random, they must therefore have been the product of purposeful intelligence.” — Fred Hoyle, Chandra Wickramasinghe, Evolution from Space, New York, Simon & Schuster, 1984, p. 148
“An honest man, armed with all the knowledge available to us now, could only state that, in some sense, the origin of life appears at the moment to be almost a miracle.” — Francis Crick, Life Itself: It’s Origin and Nature, New York, Simon & Schuster, 1981, p. 88
Therefore even if Theory of Evolution is true, it still does not disprove the concept of God, on the contrary the complexity of life seems to necessities the need of a creator or supernatural being.

Prophet Muhammad - The Most influencial Man That Ever Lived

Prophet Muhammad - The Greatest Man That Ever Lived - More amazing videos are a click away

famous Non-Muslims said about Prophet Muhammad? Michael H. Hart of USA who wrote "The 100 most influential persons in history" and placed Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of God be upon him) as number one, on the top of the list "My choice of Muhammad to lead the best of the world's most influential persons may surprise some readers and may be questioned by others, but he was the only man in history who was supremely successful on both the religious and secular levels. His complete biography has been authenticated and circulated amongst scholars around the world starting while he was still alive and continuing up until today. One of the first examples we quote from is from the Encyclopedia Britannica, as it confirms: (Regarding Muhammad) "... a mass of detail in the early sources shows that he was an honest and upright man who had gained the respect and loyalty of others who were likewise honest and upright men." [Vol. 12] Reverend R. Bosworth-Smith wrote in "Mohammed & Mohammedanism" in 1946: "Head of the state as well as the Church, he was Caesar and Pope in one; but, he was pope without the pope's claims, and Caesar without the legions of Caesar, without a standing army, without a bodyguard, without a palace, without a fixed revenue. If ever any man had the right to say that he ruled by a Right Divine, it was Mohammad, for he had all the power without instruments and without its support. He cared not for dressing of power. The simplicity of his private life ...

Soldiers Kill Palestinian Demonstrator in Bil’in Basim

Bassem Ibrahim Abu Rahmeh (a.k.a. Phil), a 30 year-old Bil’in resident, was killed this Friday during a demonstration against the wall, after Israeli soldiers shot a high-velocity teargas projectile directly at him. As can be seen in the video above, Bassem was standing on a hill alongside several journalists, removed from the main body of the demonstration, when he was hit in his chest by the special, “extended range” teargas projectile, which was fired without provocation from a distance of about 40 meters by troops positioned behind concrete blocks and on the other side of the separation barrier. Seconds before the shooting, Bassem had been pleading with the soldiers to hold their fire, shouting “we are in a nonviolent protest, there are kids and internationals...”. He was shot before he could finish the sentence.

According to eyewitnesses, the impact from the projectile knocked him over and left a gaping hole in his chest. As there was no ambulance at the scene, he was driven to a Ramallah hospital in a private car, but died less than halfway there from the injury, blood flooding his lungs. News of his death reached the village just as the last of the demonstrators were leaving the site of the protest, next to the separation barrier.

The teargas projectile in question is the same kind that critically injured American national Tristan Anderson at a demonstration in Ni’lin on the 13th of March, after he was hit in the head from approx. 60 meters. Tristan remains hospitalized in Tel HaShomer hospital in Tel Aviv.

Bassem Abu Rahmeh, a well-known and frequent participant in the village’s four year long battle against the Wall, is the first Bil’in resident and the 18th Palestinian in total to be shot dead during a demonstration against the Apartheid Wall. His funeral took place on Saturday afternoon, after his body was carried on a cloth stretcher all the way from a Ramallah hospital to his village of Bil'in, accompanied by hundreds of mourners. The funeral itself was attended by over a thousand people, including Palestinians from neighboring villages as well as international and Israeli friends and activists.

On Saturday evening, over 400 protesters took to the streets in Tel Aviv, accusing Israeli soldiers of murdering demonstrators and calling for an end to the occupation and the Apartheid Wall. Protesters gathered at the central Ben-Tzion Boulevard and marched towards the Kirya, an area which serves as the headquarters of the IDF's General Staff and where various government structures are situated, including the main Israeli army base and the Ministry of Defense. Protesters held a short rally in memory of Bassem Abu Rahmeh and all the victims of Israeli military violence, dispersing without incident.

Schools to Ban Face Veil

It says efforts must be made to accommodate religious clothing, but stresses the importance of teachers and pupils being able to make eye contact.

It comes after a girl failed in a legal bid to overturn her school's niqab ban.

Islamic groups have been divided in their response - some "shocked" and others welcoming the guidance.
Headteachers' leaders have applauded the decision, saying that it would provide "clarity" and "reassurance" for schools.
It's not right that schools should have to be arguing this out case by case

The issue of religious dress has become an increasingly complicated one for schools in recent years, with a handful of high profile court cases over the right to wear a full veil.

A court victory by a Buckinghamshire school (which cannot be named for legal reasons) has prompted the updated guidance.

The school argued the veil made communication between teachers and pupils difficult and thus hampered learning.

Teachers needed to be able to tell if a pupil was enthusiastic, paying attention or even distressed but full-face veils prevented this, it said.

This position was upheld by the High Court - which refused to grant a judicial review - and is expected to form a key part of the guidance.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East

UNRWA (the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East) provides assistance, protection and advocacy for some 4.7 million registered Palestine refugees in Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and the occupied Palestinian territory, pending a solution to their plight.

UNRWA is funded almost entirely by voluntary contributions from UN member states.

UNRWA is the main provider of basic services – education, health, relief and social services – to 4.7 million registered Palestine refugees in the Middle East.

In 2007, UNRWA began a comprehensive reform programme to strengthen its management capacity, in order to provide more effective and efficient services to Palestine refugees.

This reform, known as Organisational Development, has focused on building capacity in four key areas:

human resources management
programme management
organisational processes
leadership and management
Reform in these four areas, coupled with development and implementation of the Medium Term Strategy, will result in an Agency that provides quality services and standards driven by:

excellence, results and outcomes
evidence-based planning and needs-based service delivery
decentralisation and empowerment, with a focus on delivery in the field
active participation of, and consultation with, our stakeholders
integration and coordination of planning leading to a holistic approach to service delivery
innovation and responsiveness
effective partnerships with beneficiaries and coordination with other service providers.

US : Europe Biased against Muslims

The annual report of US State Department on human rights has warned of increasing concern that discrimination against Muslims was on the rise in Europe.

The human rights report for 2009 cited Switzerland's ban on the construction of minarets on mosques enacted in November, as well as continued bans or restrictions on head scarves and burqa worn by Muslims in France, Germany and the Netherlands.

The report said: "Discrimination against Muslims in Europe has been an increasing concern."

Germany and the Netherlands have prohibitions against teachers wearing head scarves or burqa while on the job, and France bans the wearing of the religious garb in public, the report said.

Western culture

The report particularly focused on problems in the Netherlands, where Muslims number about 850,000, saying that Muslims face societal resentment based on the belief that Islam is not compatible with Western values.

The report blamed right-wing politicians for playing a role in fuelling the resentment.

It said: "Major incidents of violence against Muslims were rare, but minor incidents, including intimidation, brawls, vandalism, and graffiti with abusive language, were common."

It added that the department's annual human rights report is mandated by Congress to allow MPs to factor the issue into decisions on allocated aid to foreign countries.

Among other countries, the report most critically faulted human rights practises in Belarus, China, Cuba, Iran, Myanmar, North Korea, Zimbabwe, Sudan, Syria and Russia.

China and Iran

The report criticised China for crackdowns on Uighurs and in Tibet, as well as increased restrictions to the internet and other forms of information and news.

Assistant Secretary of State Michael Posner said: "The Chinese government's human rights records remain poor and worsening in some areas, including increased cultural and religious repression of ethnic minorities ... and increased detention and harassment of activists and public-interest lawyers."

The State Department also focused on Iran and the repression of demonstrators who took to the streets following June's presidential election. Dozens of people were killed and thousands were detained, some facing prosecution.

Posner said: "An already poor human rights situation (in Iran) rapidly deteriorated after the June elections. It is a place where we are continuing to see severe repression of dissent and are continuing to pay great attention."

Civilian casualties

The report also cited the increased toll conflicts in some countries inflicted on the civilian population in 2009, including in Afghanistan, Sudan, Sri Lanka and Pakistan.

There remain "significant human rights challenges" in Pakistan, the report said of the important US ally in the war on terrorism. The report said there were extrajudicial killings, torture, and disappearances.

The State Department cited reports the military carried out up to 400 killings during counterinsurgency operations against the Taliban in North West Frontier Province and the Swat Valley.

Jesus pbuh is called a prophet in the bible

21:10 And when he was come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Who is this?

21:11 And the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee.

People's New Testament

21:11 Jesus the prophet of Nazareth. The inquiry arose everywhere, Who is this ? to which the Galileans who composed so large a part of the procession, responded: It is Jesus, the prophet of Nazareth, of Galilee. Of this they were sure; of his real character none but his own disciples knew, and they imperfectly. The Galileans regarded him the prophet named by Moses in De 18:18.

Gaza's state of health ... not so good

We all know what its like when we go to the doctor's office for that routine check up once a year ... and undoubtedly there is that moment of anxiousness when the doctor looks you in the face to level his criticism on what you can do better next year.

So you leave the office, go to the nearest gym, sign up for that cardio class and then off to the supermarket to get that new low fat salad dressing. It's a new year and you are gonna take your health seriously!

A universal human right for all...

That's the way it should be ... for you and for the people of Gaza. But Gaza's health report card just came back ... and it ain't looking good for the 1.7 million people living under a stifling siege.

Even worse, there is little the people here can do about it.

According to the United Nations, which examined the state of health one year on from Israel's brutal war on Gaza, a collapsed economy and staggering unemployment will undoubtedly have a negative impact on the physical and mental health of the people here.

Here are some of the highlights, or should I say the sad points, of Gaza's Health:

● Infant mortality rates, which were steadily declining in recent years have stalled.

● 15 of Gaza's 27 hospitals were damaged or destroyed in Israel's war and have yet to be rebuilt or repaired.

● Since 2000, very few medical professionals have been able to leave for training to update their clinical skills or learn about new medical technologies - which in return limits their ability to provide adequate health care.

● Many patients are in need of specialised treatments not available in Gaza and referred abroad for care. Sadly, their applications to travel for care get delayed or denied by the Israeli authorities and some have died while waiting for referrals.

But some times its not the press releases or the statements that sum up the difficult situation in Gaza, or even the peoples own stories. Here is a animated clip from the Israeli human rights organization B'Tselem that captures what is so wrong with the Israeli siege on Gaza.

Psychological trauma, nightmares stalk Gaza children

GAZA, 2 February 2010 (IRIN) - Mona al-Samouni, 12, is depressed and has nightmares about the day - just over a year ago - when she witnessed her parents and a number of relatives being shot by Israeli soldiers in their home in Zeitoun, southeast of Gaza City.

Like a number of other children who witnessed horrific events during last year’s 23-day Israeli military operation in the Gaza Strip, Mona has become increasingly withdrawn and silent - common ways of coping with tragedies, doctors say.

Statistics about Palestinians who lost their life during the military operation vary, but NGOs place the overall number of persons killed between 1,387 and 1,417. The Gaza authorities report 1,444 fatal casualties, whilst Israel provides a figure of 1,166, according to the UN Fact-Finding Mission on the Gaza Conflict, also known as the Goldstone Report.

The killing of Mona's family is one of the most notorious incidents of last year’s conflict in Gaza (see BBC slideshow) and was one of 11 incidents investigated by the UN Mission “in which Israeli forces launched direct attacks against civilians with lethal outcome” and in which “the facts indicate no justifiable military objective pursued by the attack”. It said Israeli forces “killed 23 members of the extended al-Samouni family” on that day.

“There is a significant deterioration in the psychological well-being of Palestinian children who are living in the Gaza Strip, especially after the recent war,” Ayesh Samour, director of the Psychiatric Hospital in Gaza, told IRIN.

According to a study by NGO Ard al-Insan in Gaza, 73 percent of Gaza children are still suffering from psychological and behavioural disorders, including psychological trauma, nightmares, involuntary urination, high blood pressure and diabetes.

Samour said children in Gaza were being denied a normal childhood because of the insecurity and instability in their environment. He said a culture of violence and death had pervaded their mentalities, making them angrier and more aggressive.

Basem Naim, the Hamas minister of health in Gaza, said hospitals and primary care facilities damaged during the Gaza conflict have not been rebuilt due to the blockade of the territory under which Israel bans the entry of construction materials, saying they could be used for military purposes.

"Health professionals in Gaza have been cut off from the outside world," Naim said.

Hussain Ashour, director of al-Shifa Hospital, the main hospital in Gaza City, said they lacked medical equipment and paediatricians.

Project

Save the Children Sweden and the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF) on 25 January launched the Family Centres Project in Gaza.

“The project will ensure that the right to survival and development of children at risk… is ensured through the establishment of 20 Family Centres in different communities of the Gaza Strip,” Patricia Hoyos, director of Save the Children in Gaza, told IRIN.

“Its main role is to serve a wide population and to provide quality child protection, educational, health and psychosocial services to all those in need of support,” she said.
