Ayah/Verse to Remember

In the name of God, most compassionate, most merciful. Invite to the Way of your Lord with wisdom and fair preaching, and argue with them in the best manners. Truly, your Lord knows best who has gone astray from His Path, and He is the Best Aware of those who are guided." (Al-Quran 16:125)

Beheadings an Act of Aggression According to The Quran

Many seen brutal Images of people tied up and viciously beheaded by a few men with one thing on their mind and that is to spread TERROR.

The recitations of the Quran makes no significance to me, because the Quran itself is AGAINST them being in that position.

Looking into the Quran we will find that, there are two mentioning of beheading in the Quran.

Chapter 47:3 says "When you encounter the unbelievers on the battlefield, strike off their heads until you have crushed them completely; then bind the [surviving] prisoners tightly." Chapter 8:12 states "I will cast dread into the hearts of the unbelievers. Strike off their heads, then, and strike off all of their fingertips.

To say Islam and the Quran support and commands Muslims to behead unbelievers is really out of tone with the Quranic teachings in regards to innocent people as in none militant ones.

According to Islam, humanity is the result of Adam and Eve, so lets see what the Quran speaks in regards to the children of Adam and Eve.

17: 70 And indeed Allah (God) has honored the Children of Adam, and Allah (God) carried them on land and sea, and has provided them with At-Taiyibât (lawful good things), and has preferred them above many of those whom He has created with a marked preference.

The Quran clearly commands in verse in Chapter 2:190

Fight in the Cause of Allah, those who fight you, but don't transgress. Allah DOESN'T LOVE transgressors.

Lets bring this very important verse to light Chapter 76:8-11

And they feed, for the love of Allah, the indigent, the orphan, and THE CAPTIVE OF WAR.
Say( Muslims ) : We only fear a day of distressful wrath from the side of our lord. Lo, Allah will deliver them from the evil of that day, and will shed over them a light of beauty and joy.

Chapter.2:112

But FORGIVE THEM, and overlook (their misdeeds). Verily, Allah loves the good¬doers.

Chapter 7:199 Show forgiveness, enjoin what is good, and TURN AWAY FROM the FOOLISH (i.e. don't punish them).

An Example of Allah's Mercy in the Quran

Say: 'O My servants who have transgressed against your own souls: do not despair of God's mercy,
for God forgives all sins. It is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.'
Qur'an (39:53)

Islam condemns violence against the innocent, and the QURANIC teachings are much deeper then two verses, that all people will be held accountable for their actions.

Life and Death are STRICTLY given by Allah and ONLY Allah has the right to decide who stays and who goes.

Islam orders Muslims to fight those who transgress against them and never supported war through force.

Islam means to submit to Allah and Allah teaches us in the Quran to submit to Allah's will and to try and not force the issue.

You can look at all the verses you want, but over all the message is clear and killing unjustly will have its punishment according to Allah, and a very strict law to break when it comes to the value of human beings.

The Quran also makes a clear case for the prophet Mohammad (pbuh) as well

And it was by God`s grace that thou [O Prophet] didst deal gently with thy followers: for if thou hadst been
harsh and hard of heart, they would indeed have broken away from thee` (3:159).

How does the Quran command Muslims to spread Islam truly ?

`Call thou [all mankind] unto thy Sustainer`s path with wisdom and goodly exhortation, and argue with them in the most kindly manner`
(16:125).

This might blow the minds of Muslim critics at HOW IMPORTANT MERCY IS TO ALLAH, in this verse here clearly Allah stats in chapter 6:12 He [Allah] has inscribed [prescribed] for himself (the rule of) mercy.

Its of extreme importance of the act of mercy in Islam, because Allah tells us in this verse that Mercy is inscribed into his law and its a law on ALLAHS to show MERCY to all creation,

Muslim must be more more mercyfull with all of Allahs creation and specifically the children of Adam and Eve. Allah commands this mercy, and for a Muslim to love Allah they must be mercy full.

Islam is against acts of terror and unjust actions. Before you judge the moment, judge the teachings, and the Quran commands good and Just actions and commands to never be among the unjust and evil doers.

Alhamdulillah / Praise due to Allah, that Most Muslims are aware that Islam is about peace and harmony, to serve God in the best of means and manners.

Basic Info on Islam

Peace be unto you all or Alsallam Alaykum

Islam is a monotheistic religion

In the 7th century, It was revealed to Mohammad-pbuh ( through the Angel Gabrial-pbuh) that he is a chosen messenger of God.

The revelations received by the Prophet Muhammad-pbuh were over a 20 or so year span and through out that time,

He guided the people in his community as time progressed, more verses were revealed, Mohammad-pbuh always waited for God's word to be sent before making any decisions.

Honesty and Fair dealing. Few lessons about business in the Quran

Honesty is a very important quality which the Quran requires of all of the believers. Muslims are taught in the Quran many important values which are greatly benificial to humanity ( as a whole ).

Lets look at a few verses.

"Cover not Truth with falsehood, nor conceal the Truth when ye know (what it is)." (2:42) The word cover can mean many things, which apply to all daily life activities in regards to your life, career, humanity, and can relate to every single activity in regards to every single human being. or it can simply mean. Don't willingly lie and deceive. If you know the truth then you MUST speak the truth.

"Take not your oaths, to practice deception between yourselves." (16:94)

Once you make a deal, don't break it. As is saying don't make an alliance, then aim to achieve personal ambitions which are against the agreement.

"Truly many are the partners (in business) who wrong each other: Not so do those who believe and work deeds of righteousness, and how few are they?" (38:24)

Words revealed 1400 years ago, yet are dead on even in this life time. Matter fact in our life time, those partner who wrong each other are much greater in numbers then before. Not to worry though the numbers of the righteous is up there as well.

"Woe to those that deal in fraud, - Those who, when they have to receive by measure from men, exact full measure, but when they have to give by measure or weight to men, give less than due." (83:1-3)

The first part is clear, WOE TO THOSE THAT DEAL IN FRAUD. saying if your involved in Fraud activities then its not looking so shady for you on judgment day. Then it goes on to explain that in Business, we must not be stingy and give exactly what is due.

In many ways, these lessons can easily be applied as legislative laws, simple yet very direct on do's and don't in business and in life, towards your community or society.

Laws are supposed to serve and protect. I hope we see how the Quran has plenty of Laws that serve and protect. I think we can agree at least this on this topic discussed.

Ahmad Yassine, the spiritual leader of Hamas- Why was this old man assasinated with a ROCKET?

Ahmad Yassine, the spiritual leader of Hamas, was assassinated by the direct order of Ariel Sharon and carried out by Apache helicopters. This should not be analyzed as only the assassination of one person.
The reasons behind the assassination of Ahmad Yassine
There is no doubt that the Zionist regime had specific reasons and purposes for carrying out the assassination of Shaykh Ahmad Yassine. Shaykh Ahmad was born in the village al-Jawar near Asqalan. This village, along with many other villages, was occupied by Jewish forces in 1948. At that time, Yassine moved with his family to Gaza. Yassine started his resistance after completing his studies at Al-Azhar University. He was arrested numerous times by the Zionist regime before he was finally assassinated. He was sentenced to 13 years in prison in the year 1983 and was released two years afterwards. In 1989 he was arrested again and sentenced to 15 years in prison and was released in a prisoner swap in 1997. He lost his sight while resisting and at the time of his martyrdom his body was extremely fragile. Despite his fragile body he was considered the charismatic leader of Hamas. He was also loved by the rest of the Palestinian political parties. He held the second place of affection amongst the Palestinian people after Arafat. The Zionist regime wanted to strike Hamas, a group that takes responsibility for most of the martyrdom missions performed in Palestine, by murdering their founder, Shaykh Yassine. Full Post

Whats Halal in regards to earnings?

Each morning the Allah showers His mercy upon us, even before the rays of sunlight reach our eyes. It is only through His mercy that we awaken from death itself. Each night, our souls leave our bodies only to be returned to us by the mercy and will of Allah Ta'ala. A process each and everyone of us go through everyday yet we fail to realise the power of the being who is behind this process.

It has been narrated on the authority of Hadhrat Abu Maalik al-Haarith bin al-Haarith al-Ash'aree Radhi Allahu Anhu that the Messenger of Allah Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam said:

"...Every person starts his day as a vendor of his soul, either freeing it or causing its ruin."
[Saheeh al-Muslim]

This Hadeeth informs us that every morning we are made responsible for the abode and actions of our souls. It is our personal choice which will either grant our souls freedom from the punishment of Allah and from the fire of Hell, or we could cause its ruin by following Shaytaan and his desires.

Allah Ta'ala has stated that if He is the buyer of the soul of a believer then in return for him shall be paradise:

"Verily, Allah has purchased from the believers their lives and their properties; for the price that theirs shall be Paradise"
[at-Tawbah 9:111]

Therefore, it is the sole responsibility of man, to steer his soul in either direction. His actions and intentions will make his abode either Paradise or Hell. So each morning, while man has been classified as being the "vendor" of his soul, he goes out to seek his sustenance and livelihood. It is his option to either sell his soul, or to free it, to earn this livelihood.

Hadhrat Abdullah ibn Mas'ood Radhi Allahu Anhu has narrated that the Prophet Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam said:

"The seeking of a permissible (Halaal) livelihood is an obligation after the obligatory acts (Faraa'idh)"
[Bayhaqi]

The Shihada / Testimony of faith = Force not option in Islam.

Islam requires its new reverts or converts to first of all make the Shihada or testimony of faith. It goes as follows
"There is none worthy of worship except God and Muhammad is the messenger of God." This declaration of faith is called the Shahadah, a simple formula that all the faithful pronounce. The significance of this declaration is the belief that the only purpose of life is to serve and obey God, and this is achieved through the teachings and practices of the Last Prophet, Muhammad."

Sounds simple enough right ?

The extreme importance of this Shihada is that it must be said with full conviction, and full understanding and full comprehension, that those words you are saying are not said in VAIN and must be TRUE as to the essential meaning of truth to the individual.

Its impossible to say Islam forces people to become Muslims strickly because of this rule that the Shihada must come directly from the individual who wants to become Muslim.

If any one is forced to say the shihada, according to Islam they are not Muslims, because they themselves are not true believers of its message, why? because they were forced to do so.

There were no reall conviction behind their words, Islam was not in their hearts to accept fully.

Looking at the world around us today and the Muslim impact on all continents and cultures. Its proof in itself that all these people must have accepted Islam because of their love of its message, that would explain why most of them are behind Islam 100%.

Peace be unto all the readers and hope its understood that Islam seeks truth from its followers.

Whats the Hajj?

The pilgrimage to Makkah (the hajj) is an obligation only for those who are physically and financially able to do so. Nevertheless, over two million people go to Makkah each year from every corner of the globe providing a unique opportunity for those of different nations to meet one another.

The annual hajj begins in the twelfth month of the Islamic year (which is lunar, not solar, so that hajj and Ramada-n fall sometimes in summer, sometimes in winter). Pilgrims wear special clothes: simple garments that strip away distinctions of class and culture, so that all stand equal before God.

The rites of the hajj, which are of Abrahamic origin, include going around the Ka'bah seven times, and going seven times between the hills of Safa and Marwa as did Hagar (Hajir, Abraham's wife) during her search for water. The pilgrims later stand together on the wide plains of 'Arafat (a large expanse of desert outside Makkah) and join in prayer for God's forgiveness, in what is often thought as a preview of the Day of Judgment.

The close of the hajj is marked by a festival, the 'Id al Adha, which is celebrated with prayers and the exchange of gifts in Muslim communities everywhere. This and the 'Id al Fitr, a festive day celebrating the end of Ramada-n, are the two holidays of the Islamic calendar.

Are reverts to Islam more eager to discover Islam then born Muslims ?

It seems to me that (most) Muslim converts are more religious and eager to know about Islam than a good amount of those who are born Muslims?

Its a very good question to think about

Its easy to think that it can be what your born into, for example if someone is born rich, they tend to not appreciate wealth and spend at will for personal pleasure and not even consider how much they are spending. Money is nothing

People born into Islam in many occasions understand it from whats around them and might not be taking full advantage of what they have in the Quran. Many reverts dig deeper in my opinion to show the more sensible, reasonable, modest, among so many other attribute. for example many great former Christians have inspired many new converted Muslims like yusuf estes. Yet again many Muslims have as well done so, I think its all well balanced and Allah knows best.

It seems that on some issues the reverts are doing a great job and its all well in Allah's/Gods cause. All of us Muslims should understand Islam at its highest peak, more on education and knowledge and more for peace and unity. There is no God but Allah and Mohammad is Allah's prophet.

I think honestly there are not enough Muslims spreading Islam and more should be doing so.

Yallah, Pick up a Quran and remember always ALLAH AKBAR

Veiled anchor on Egyptian local TV breaks the stereotype

Veiled anchor on Egyptian local TV breaks the stereotype

By Yasmine Saleh
First Published: June 22, 2007

CAIRO: Hala El-Malky, a presenter on Channel Five, will be the first veiled anchor to appear on a local Egyptian television station.

El-Malky was not allowed to appear on TV after she donned the Islamic headscarf. This led her to file a lawsuit against the station, which she won.

El-Malky then received approval to appear on the Channel Five to anchor a program while wearing the veil.

Ahmed Al-Sayed, lawyer, told The Daily Star Egypt that the Egyptian constitution explicitly stresses the concept of "equality between all citizens and does not indicate that any person should be treated differently based on what he or she decides to wear."

As for the veil in particular, Al-Sayed indicated that article two of the constitution states that Egypt is an Islamic country and that Islam is "the principal source of legislation."

"And since veiling is an Islamic costume, then it will be against the constitution to stand in the way of any Egyptian woman who decides to wear it," Al-Sayed added.

Regardless of whether we agree or disagree on the veil issue on principle, we all have to accept and respect the individual's right to decide her style of clothes, Gamal Eid, executive director for the Arabic Network for Human Rights Information, told The Daily Star Egypt.

"But we also have to accept unveiled women and not treat them with less respect than veiled ones," Eid added.

Fayek Fahim, mass communications professor at Misr International University (MIU), believes that the appearance of the anchor has no effect on the credibility and objectivity of the content they present.

Fahim told The Daily Star Egypt that, "we have a live example of this in the Arab world" referring to Al-Jazeera's famous TV anchor Khadija Ben Ganna whom he described as "a super anchor."

Anchors are only presenters of the content which is selected by "the mastermind" and the decision-makers of the channel.

Fahim believes that El-Malky's case will not be the last, as according to him "99 percent of Egyptian women are veiled” and hence we will have more veiled anchors.

The style of dress of Egyptian women has been the subject of widespread debate as last year.

Last January, Minister of Religious Endowments Hamdy Zaqzuq expelled an employee from a meeting for refusing to remove her niqab (the full face cover).

Farouk Hosni, Minister of Culture, set off a firestorm last November when he criticized the veil and those who choose to wear it.

His remarks garnered swift and often angry remarks from Egyptian and Arab religious scholars, some of whom said Egyptian officials were waging war on Islam.

Hosni's opinion faced mounting pressure from members in the People's Assembly who urged him to issue an apology.

With no conflicts or disputes, traditionally the veil has been present in the dress code of women of all ages in one way or another. Hats and wedding veils that are also considered head covers are adopted everywhere.

But controversy seems to only appear when hair covers are talked about in a religious context.

However young unmarried women can stay unveiled until they get married.

This trend of women covering after marriage has long been adopted in Egyptian society. Up till the last ten years, the veil was only adopted by old married women, and it was hard to find young veiled Egyptians.

However, recently the situation changed.

Over the past decade, Amr Khaled, a famous Egyptian televangelist, managed to gather many youngsters to his lectures and speeches in Cairo's most popular mosques in elite areas like Mohandiseen and Sixth of October City.

Khaled's speeches focused on the veil and as a result, lots of Egyptian girls adopted it Source

Mossad Link Found to One of Key 9-11 Hijackers

Mossad Link Found to One of Key 9-11 Hijackers

By Michael Collins Piper

A NEW ISRAELI CONNECTION to the tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001 has recently been unveiled. Buried in a New York Times story on Feb. 19 was the eye-opening revelation that a Lebanese Muslim Arab who has been taken into custody by the Lebanon—which has accused him of being a spy for some 25 years for Israeli intelligence—just happens to be a cousin of one of the Muslims alleged to have been one of the 9-11 hijackers.

Although Ali al-Jarrah was—publicly—an outspoken proponent of the Palestinian cause, it now turns out that he was actually working as a paid asset of the Mossad for more than two decades, betraying his own nation and conducting spying operations against Palestinian groups and the pro-Palestinian party Hezbollah.

The New York Times, reporting on the al-Jarrah affair, revealed this: “It is not the family’s first brush with notoriety. One of Mr. Jarrah’s cousins, Ziad al-Jarrah, was among the 19 hijackers who carried out the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.” The Times added that the men were 20 years apart in age and “do not appear to have known each other well.”

The gratuitous Times suggestion that the two cousins “do not appear to have known each other well” is intriguing, inasmuch as it is an admission that they did, in fact, know one another. And that could be very telling, for there are those who are now suggesting that the older cousin may indeed have recruited his younger cousin as an asset for Israeli intelligence.

The circumspect stance taken by the Times is no surprise, considering the fact that the Times is quite aware of the fact that there have been many sources—including American Free Press—which have alleged that the 9-11 conspiracy was infiltrated, if not controlled outright, by Israeli intelligence from the beginning.

If the younger al-Jarrah was indeed an Israeli asset inside the 9-11 conspiracy, this would not be the first time that a Muslim Arab was involved, acting as a Mossad agent, in an attack on the World Trade Center. As far back as August 3, 1993, investigative reporter Robert I. Friedman revealed in New York’s Village Voice that Ahmad Ajaj, a 27-year-old West Bank Palestinian held in federal custody for conspiracy in the first attack on the World Trade Center in 1993, may have been a Mossad mole, according to Friedman’s sources.

Ajaj was arrested at Kennedy Airport on Sept. 1, 1992, after he arrived on a Pakistani International flight from Peshawar carrying a forged Swedish passport and bombmaking manuals. He was taken into custody, and subsequently pleaded guilty to entering the country illegally.

Ajaj’s traveling companion was Ramzi Ahmed Yousef, an Iraqi who law enforcement sources say was a “key player” in the first World Trade Center bombing.

And it should be noted that it was Ajaj who was the source of the famed “al Qaeda terrorist manual” that was widely touted by the FBI in the wake of the second World Trade Center attack in 2001. In addition, Ajaj’s colleague—Ramzi Yousef—is the nephew of Khalid Sheikh Mohamad, whom the U.S. government has said was the “mastermind” of the 9-11 attacks.

In this regard, it is also important to point out that, for many years even prior to the first attack on the World Trade Center, there were many figures in Islamic circles who believed that Mohamad and Yousef were actually undercover assets for Israel.

Although the FBI identified Ajaj as a senior intifada terrorist, with links to Hamas (the Palestinian Islamic fundamentalist organization), Kol Ha’ir, a respected Hebrewlanguage weekly published in Jerusalem, said Ajaj was
never involved in intifada activities or with Hamas or even the Palestine Liberation Organization.

Instead, according to Kol Ha’ir, Ajaj was actually a petty crook arrested in 1988 for counterfeiting U.S. dollars out of a base in East Jerusalem. Ajaj was convicted of the counterfeiting charges and then sentenced to two-anda- half years in prison.

According to Friedman, writing in The Village Voice: “It was during his prison stay that Mossad, Israel’s CIA, apparently recruited him, say Israeli intelligence sources. By the time he was released after having served just one year, he had seemingly undergone a radical transformation.”

Friedman reported that Ajaj had suddenly become a devout Muslim and an outspoken hard-line nationalist. Then, Ajaj was arrested for smuggling weapons into the West Bank, supposedly for Fatah al-Islam, a faction of the PLO.

But Friedman says this was actually a sham. Friedman’s sources in Israeli intelligence say that the arrest and Ajaj’s subsequent deportation were “staged by Mossad to establish his credentials as an intifada activist. Mossad allegedly ‘tasked’ Ajaj to infiltrate radical Palestinian groups operating outside Israel and to report back to Tel Aviv.

Israeli intelligence sources say that it is not unusual for Mossad to recruit from the ranks of common criminals.”
